Summary
For 40+ years, I taught at California State University, Dominguez Hills—on Global Futures, Peace/Nonviolence, and Intercultural/Interfaith topics, with about 90 articles published in these areas, books forthcoming, and participation in global-local professional and community organizations active in these areas. I also taught at other universities in the U.S., Canada, Japan, & Europe.
Mission Statement
To me the only “game in town” is how we human beings are going to learn to live together on this planet, in a way that not only lets us survive, but increasingly meets the needs of people on this planet, so that human creativity and spirit can be unleashed and humanity as a whole and in its wonderful diversity can evolve, using technology to improve our lives, while also living in harmony with, and as caretakers of, our natural environment, planet earth. I am committed to do my small part to see that these goals are achieved. The human journey is also one of pushing back ever more boundaries to explore the infinity of our outer and inner lives and realities. This is the ultimate human journey and future of human evolution.

Biography
Current Work: Linda is currently Director, Global Options and Evolutionary Futures Consulting, and Emeritus Professor, Political Science & Futures Studies, California State University, Dominguez Hills, where she taught for over 40 years. She does talks/workshops, consulting, writing, and teaching, in the USA and globally, on: (1) global futures/evolution/change; (2) peace/conflict resolution/ nonviolence; (3) intercultural/ interfaith dialogue and unity-diversity issues; and (4) spiritual/ consciousness topics to a wide range of professional, educational, and community organizations. She has been involved for years with global-local organizations active in these areas, and has published over 90 articles in these areas, with books forthcoming.
Linda offers talks/workshops, courses, interviews, and consulting—in her different areas of expertise—on understanding a world of accelerating change, how such change impacts different organizations, and how you can pro-actively prepare for all this change, as well as how we can all collectively help create a better world future for increasing numbers of people on this planet, while also being caretakers of planet earth—our home.
Two forthcoming books deal with peace futures, and future human evolution topics:
(1) Groff, Linda. Sustainable Peacebuilding in a Rapidly Changing World: Holistic, Evolving Aspects of Peace, Nonviolence, and Community Engagement (2020); and (2) Groff, Linda. Options for Future Human Evolution: Cutting-Edge Issues for Humanity and the World.
Professional Organizations include: Futures (World Future Society, World Futures Studies Federation-Fellow, and Association of Professional Futurists); Peace (International Peace Research Association, and Peace & Justice Studies Association); Intercultural (Society for Intercultural Education, Training & Research); and Interfaith (Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions, United Religions Initiative, and Unity-and-Diversity World Council).
Education and Past Work: Linda has an M.A., M.A.L.D., and Ph.D. in International Relations from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, located at Tufts University and associated with Harvard University, along with a B.A. in English from the University of Michigan. Linda has taught at universities in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and Europe. Before beginning full-time university teaching, she worked as a Research Assistant for one professor at Yale, then Harvard, and then two professors at M.I.T.
